Martin Winckler, french doctor and writer, has published in 1998 “Sachs’ Disease” (Prix du Livre Inter, adaptated in the film from Michel Deville with Albert Dupontel), then in 2009 “Le Chœur des femmes” and more recently “L’école des soignantes”. This books are inspired by his personnal experience of medecine, and talks about care, hospitals and caregivers-patients relationships with an inclusive and feminist conception. Since some years, he lives in Montréal, where he observes a inspiring conception of care : communautarian, collective, pragmatic and less hierarchized.
