Shopping mall Grand Ouest, Ecully
An peri-urban commercial extension
The extension and renewal of the Grand Ouest shopping centre in Ecully, on the outskirts of Lyon, is a strong opportunity to restore a new identity and a new commercial and urban impulse to this project of the 80s. The expansion of the commercial space includes the addition of 22 shops, a dozen restaurants, 3 large medium-sized areas and complementary services activities. The extension is based on a new commercial mail loop, connecting the new central square. The covered urban square hosts all kinds of activities, depending on the season: restaurants and their terraces on 2 levels, exhibitions and ephemeral events, covered market and, overhanging, sports and wellness activities. This real urban living space enriches the commercial space by defining a unique setting in the Lyon agglomeration.
