Near Grenoble, in Meylan, ideally located in the heart of a green setting with 360° views of the three mountain ranges, the former Schneider Electric office building has been renovated to create a new tertiary complex. Built in the 1960s, this large industrial hall was first converted into offices in the 1980s. With its original 12x12m grid, reduced to 6x6m during its first renovation, the building proved to be easily adaptable. The open-plan floors over 3 levels and the exposed metal framework contribute to the clean, serene atmosphere of the workspaces. The enlarged central patio, free of any extraneous volumes, extends the shared spaces available to future tenants (shared meeting rooms, social areas) and opens onto the park, which is home to outdoor work areas. The large windows, which get higher the higher you go, offer exceptional views over the landscape and provide plenty of light for the landscaped floors, which are served by 4 ascents in the corners of the patio. This major refurbishment is accompanied by a thermal and environmental upgrade to BREEAM very good standard. The site retains its exceptional character, with a heritage of trees surrounded by the mountainous landscape that dominates the site.
