Car park with 6,500 spaces, Roissy

The car park project for the Roissy Charles de Gaulle
hub is a large-scale building with a major impact on the
airport site, helping to increase the terminal’s capacity. The
multi-storey PR car park consists of two twin buildings on
either side of an axis facing Terminal 1, the historic and
emblematic building which will in future house the CDG
Express station. The construction of the 6,500-space car
park, phase 1, is located to the east of the site. A forthcoming
phase 2 will involve the construction of its 3,500-space
“twin” to the west. The project consists of large unitary
platforms, irrigated by a large greenhouse that concentrates
the distributions and installs the life of the building in front.
The large 87×200 meters floor plates, with no ventilation
gaps, make use of smoke extraction engineering. The
passenger is then naturally drawn towards the large winter
garden, accompanied by the interior signage and the polychromy of the design. In the winter garden, he can easily find his way to the terminals via the lifts and travelators.
