Restructuring of the Alstom site, Grenoble

Over a period of almost ten years, Alstom has carried
out a complete restructuring of its existing industrial
site, with the aim of rationalising its production facilities
and revitalising its R&D centre, as well as increasing the
site’s reception capacity by bringing together its activities
scattered across the region. This large-scale project, led
by Groupe-6 architectes, began in 2008 and was carried
out in several phases, dictated by the reorganisation plan:
reorganisation of the primary supply and distribution
networks (industrial fluids, heating, electricity, low voltage),
demolition of unsuitable buildings, restructuring of
production and office buildings, construction of new office
buildings and a company restaurant, and remodelling of
the outside areas.
