Psychiatrist Hospital, Plaisir

The “Ségur” building, comprising 3 wings, suits naturally the morphology and topography of the site, freeing up garden areas and planted forecourts, designed as transitional and resting areas. Two gardens, poetical and sensory, allow a complementary atmosphere, ideal for strolling and a for a deep reconnection with nature. The use of natural, sustainable materials, in particular the wood used for exterior cladding and interior fittings, guarantees both an excellent finish quality and a warm, human atmosphere.

As per the interiors, each hospital unit bears generous windows establishing connections with the outside world, yet ensuring high-security levels to the site. The unit corridors are illuminated and enlivened by windows overlooking the patios. The bedrooms are designed to offer a soothing ambience, creating a real view of the outside world. A chaise longue nestled in a curved niche, soft and welcoming, creates a comforting and intimate space. This peaceful corner not only is conceived to rest and receive visitors, but it also helps to create a serene, warm atmosphere conducive to relaxation and rehabilitation.
