Rebuilt on its historic site, the Chaumont’s Hospital takes place in line with the courtyard facade of the historic hospital, contributing to the renewed identity of the hospital activity that takes place there and restoring its historic gardens, which are open to all. A simple, compact structure, the new hospital features a facade that opens up from the ground to the sky. Form and function come together in the concept of a vertical hospital developed in terms of functionality. In this heritage environment and on a steeply sloping site, its stone base forms a unifying foundation. Immediately visible from the Jeanne d’Arc street entrance, preceded by a landscaped entrance sequence, the entrance hall extends over two levels and serves as a landmark for all users. For the interior spaces, the palette developed within the various departments of the new Chaumont hospital center is dominated by mineral tones, echoing the treatment of the façade, accompanied by a range of soft tones that will serve as identification for the different departments.
