10.03.2011 Delivery of the Paris South General Hospital
The Centre Hospitalier Sud-Francilien (CHSF) was delivered in January 2011, marking the end of a three-and-a-half year construction project. The CHSF, located between the towns of Evry and Corbeil-Essonnes south of Paris, combines in a single location the activities of Evry hospital and Corbeil-Essonnes hospital, together with those of 4 regional psychiatric units. With a footprint of 113,500 m², the new healthcare complex provides 1017 beds, with a staff 3,500 strong, serving a regional population of some 600,000. Built through a PPP with Eiffage (Héveil), the CHSF was awarded NF Tertiary Buildings High Environmental Quality certification in 2008, thus becoming the first hospital to meet the new criteria required for "Healthcare Establishment" certification.
