Alain graduated from the Grenoble school of architecture after training as a civil engineer and has been working with Groupe-6 since 1987. He became an associate in 1999, managing director in 2006 and president in 2011. Specialising in health projects, he created the Montbéliard Clinic (1997), the Mother-Child wing in Limoges (2006), Auxerre Psychiatric Hospital and the Valenciennes Medical Technology Centre. In the research, education and technology field he designed the Grenoble “Institut National Polytechnique” (1995) and the Minatec Centre for innovation in micro and nano-technologies (2006). In 2009 he won the competition for the creation of the Judiciary Police Centre in Pontoise.
